Screencast Central

5 June, 2007 (23:23) | Projects, Recommended Sites | By: Steve

In a previous post, I explained to you exactly what screencasting was, and why it’s going to be the thing of the future - so now seemed like a good time to introduce another one of our main projects, which is the site ScreencastCentral.

Screencast Central

ScreencastCentral is a site we started in Novemeber 2006, with one main aim … to introduce screencasting to the world.

In actual fact, ScreencastCentral serves three purposes:

  1. It’s an online training repository, featuring screencasts on a whole range of software applications and techniques. If you’re looking for a solution to a software problem, you can sign up for a 7-day free pass to view the screencast which solves your problem.
  2. It’s a site aimed at helping users get started, and improve their techniques in screencasting. ScreencastCentral is home to a range of articles which are aimed at helping people improve their screencasting.
  3. It’s a screencast host. At ScreencastCentral, you are able to upload your own screencasts to the site, and link back to your own sites. It’s basically the YouTube of screencasting.

In coming posts, I’ll highlight some of the most popular screencasts that I’ve added to the site, as well as the new ones that you can look forward to. Remember, if you’ve got any screencasts that you like to see, let me know. I’ll even set you up with access so you can view it once it’s been uploaded.
